The acting City Manager of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, Johann Mettler, has announced that the first full council meeting following the August 3 municipal elections has been postponed.
It was to have taken place on Monday, 15 August, but has now been rescheduled to Thursday 18 August at 10 am at the Feather Market Centre in Baakens street, Port Elizabeth.
Members of the public who wish to attend next Thursday's meeting are advised that seating is limited and that they will be accommodated on a first come, first served basis.
It promises to be an historic council meeting for the Metro, after the ANC was dethroned as the biggest party in Council by the DA.
