Nine people have died in a collision between a car and a truck near Adelaide in the Eastern Cape
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell, said the horror accident occurred early on Sunday night on the R-63 between Adelaide and Fort Beaufort.
“It is alleged that a Toyota Tazz veered to the left side and back into the road again, crossing to the side of the oncoming truck,” said Bramwell.
He said five men and four women in the Tazz, all from Adelaide, were killed in the accident.
Bramwell said the truck driver was not injured.
Adelaide police will be investigating a case of culpable homicide.
