Eastern Cape premier Pumulo Masualle will announce his new cabinet on Friday.
Masualle was sworn in on Wednesday as the new premier, replacing Noxolo Kiviet who is back in her former post as legislature speaker.
In a statement Masualle thanked the people of the Eastern Cape for the overwhelming expression of confidence in the ruling party.
"He re-committed the incoming administration to the implementation of priority areas as captured in the ANC Manifesto i.e. create decent work, building infrastructure, reversing under-development in rural areas, focus on health and education, banish the scourge of crime and corruption and building integrated human settlements," the Bhisho government statement said.
The new Premier "conceded that he is aware of the challenges ahead and acknowledged that the road ahead will not be easy. "I call on all stakeholders to join us in the journey to move this province forward."
