The Nelson Mandela Bay Metro has expressed sadness and shock over the killing of ANC Councillor, Buyisile Mkavu.
Metro spokesperson, Roland Williams says he was gunned down in his car in Uitenhage on Saturday evening.
He says last week, the Metro also lost the assistant director for health and safety Dr Xolile Ketse in a car accident, as well as Councillor Lucky Dumazonke, who's funeral takes place on Sunday.
Williams says on Saturday night, while visiting the home of Dumazonke, Mkavu - who was the mayoral committee member responsible for human settlements - was shot dead by an unknown assailant outside the house.
