Nelson Mandela Bay Councillor in court on abduction charges

 A Nelson Mandela Bay Councillor and 2 friends have appeared in court for the abduction of a Uitenhage teenager.

Warrant Officer Basil Seekooi says 35 year old Ward 50 councillor, Zolani Ncwadi, was arrested in Kamesh on Monday.

Its alleged that he and his co-accused kidnapped an 18 year old boy at his house in Langa, accusing him of housebreaking and theft.

The three were released on bail of R500 each and will be back in court on the 18th of February.
