Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber CEO Kevin Hustler says he was encouraged by the general mood coming out of an early-morning meeting with Premier Noxolo Kiviet in East London today.
Hustler says key stakeholders in the province were seated in the International Conference Centre at six-thirty am for Kiviet's review of her state of the province address of last week.
He believes Kiviet is serious about tackling the key challenges of education, health and unemployment facing the Eastern Cape.
"For us I think... very important to note that the government is lobbing hard for infrastructure investment going forward. Still major concern regarding education and health in our province, but the premier tried to restore confidence on that matter and say that these are like two big ships turning and it takes along time for big ships to turn. I hope that these measurements that are in place for both those departments will pay off ". Hustler said
