National public relations consultancy, Meropa Communications, has opened a fully-fledged office in Nelson Mandela Bay.
Chief executive, Peter Mann, says until now they've been servicing Eastern Cape clients, particularly the Coega Development Corporation, for more than five years from the offices of the CDC.
"Until the opening of our office recently, we had kindly been accommodated by Coega. However, the advent of other clients meant that we had to establish our own office."
Mann says as more clients came on board it was decided to relocate from the CDC to their own offices at the Athenaeum.
"This is the perfect place for Meropa - in a hub of creativity and urban regeneration," says head of Meropa's PE office Amy Shelver.
"There's a growing buzz in the Bay, especially in the industrial and infrastructural development sectors. Through our work with various clients such as the Coega Development Corporation, Air Products South Africa and the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium we see increasing potential for the Eastern Cape economy and are committed to being a part of it," she says.
A statement from Meropa says 'Shelver heads a dynamic local team and is supported by Lauren Human and Salome Clack - both recognisable names in the Bay.'
