Names released of people killed in Storms River head on collision

 Police on Wednesday released the names of the people killed in the horiffic
head-on collision at Storms River in the early hours of Sunday.

Police spokesman Warrant Officer Gerda Swart said the deceased occupants of
the VW Polo were:

Student constable Showynne Botha, 25, who worked at the Storms River police precinct,

Garion Plaatjies, 23
Marvin Williams, 24,
Phumlani Gantsho, 22.

The driver of the Colt Bakkie was 36-year-old Jacques Fourie.

All were from the Storms River area.

The VW Polo was travelling in the direction of Plettenberg Bay when the
collision occurred on the N2 close to the Coldstream turnoff in Storms
River at 5.15am on Sunday.
