One person has died in an accident on the N2 between Eersterivier and Palmietvlei in the Eastern Cape.
Provincial traffic authorities said the accident involved three heavy vehicles and the road has since been closed.
Motorists travelling in an Easterly direction are being diverted through Kareedouw and Eersterivier, while those travelling in a Westerly direction will be diverted on the R102 at Palmietvlei.
The road will be re-opened once the scene has been cleared.
