SAPS Humewood detectives are seeking the communities assistance in relation to a murder after the body of a 44-year-old man was found in a car in the parking lot of a shopping centre in Humerail on Saturday night.
Police attended to a complaint of a shooting at the shopping centre after 10pm.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says on arrival, police found a white VW Polo with its driver's side and rear left window shattered.
“Inside the vehicle they found the body of a male in the driver’s seat with multiple gunshot wounds,” Captain Janse van Rensburg said in a statement.
“The motive and the suspects are unknown and a case of murder is opened for further investigation. The name of the deceased will be released once the next of kin has been informed.”
