Kariega police are investigating a case of murder after the body of an unknown man was found at a riverbank in Kwanobuhle on Thursday evening.
Spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge said the victim's hands and feet were bound with wire.
He said the body also had severe laceration wounds to his head and was already showing signs of decomposition.
Police suspect that the man was killed elsewhere a few days ago before his body was dumped.
The identity of the victim is unknown at this stage.
