A man accused of being involved in the brutal murders of a Great Brak River couple pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him.
Tewie and Eurika Human were brutally murdered in their house in Sandhoogte Road in June of 2016.
The body of Tewie, who was in his seventies, and his wife Eurika, who was in her sixties were found in the couple's garage and bedroom respectively.
Police said at the time that the couple had been dead for a couple of days since the bodies already started to decompose.
The 26-year-old Tamsanqa Sishuba is charged with murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances. He was arrested shortly after the murder at his house in Wolwedans when forensic evidence linked him to the crime scene.
The man believed to be the mastermind behind the murder and a former employee of the Human's has since fled to Lesotho and is still on the run.
Lebohang Rethabile Lekoro left Sishuba to face the music, who in turn has put the blame on Lekoro.
According to his plea explanation read out in the Mossel Bay High Court court on Thursday morning, he was under the impression that they went to the Human's house to work but instead he saw Lekoro hitting Tewie with a panga. According to Sishuba, Lekoro forced him to participate and he was only responsible for one of the seven deadly blows which killed him.
Sishuba further states that he stole nothing from the victims' home.
The trial continues.
