Municipal worker electrocuted in Kareedouw

 A Koukamma municipal worker has been electrocuted.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Gerda Swart, says the 55-year-old man and a colleague were working on an electric pole when the incident happened on Thursday night.

The worker died on the scene.

Swart says police, Eskom and the Koukamma Municipality will be investigating the incident.
