Municipal vehicles set alight in George

George police are investigating a case of malicious damage to property after three vehicles, of which two belonging to municipal traffic services, were set alight.

Police spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie, says the incident happened in Thembalethu at between 1 and 3 am on Thursday.

He says the vehicles were parked outside the homes of municipal employees in Zone 1 and 6.

The motive for the incident is not yet known.
