The management of East London's Vincent Park shopping mall has announced a multi-million rand facelift, which will create more than 300 new jobs.
Centre Manager Joseph Parsley says in a statement the centre's retail area will be increased by some 3,000 square metres and once completed, will provide at least 120 long-term employment opportunities.
He says it is expected that all work will be completed by August next year.
“The multi-million rand revamp will grow the Centre’s gross letting area by an additional 3,000m² and create over 300 new jobs, of which at least 120 are permanent or long-term employment opportunities,” Parsley said.
Phase 1, which includes the reconfiguration of one of our anchor tenants, Pick n Pay, is already underway and will be incrementally finalised and unveiled over the next eight to 10 months.
All work is due to be completed by August 2018.
The Vincent Park banking wing – already widely recognised as among the most convenient and easily accessible in East London – is being further expanded.
