Mthatha woman arrested after discovery of babies in freezers

Police in Mthatha have arrested a 29-year old woman after the bodies of four babies and a foetus were found in two freezers in her home at the weekend.

Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela says the woman was arrested on Tuesday and will face a charge of murder.

The grisly discovery was made by police who were acting on a tip off.

Fatyela says according to the woman the babies found are her children.

She will appear in court on Wednesday.
