A motorcyclist has been killed in a road accident on the N2 in Port Elizabeth.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the accident happened on the N2 early on Sunday between the Cotswold and Stanford Road off-ramps.
A woman driving a polo in the direction Grahamstown passed a truck and Van Rensburg says she allegedly swerved to get out the way when she saw the motorbike behind her.
Unfortunately, the bike clipped the back of the polo and crashed into the railings.
The motorcyclist, believed to be in his 30's, died on the scene.
Police have opened a culpable homicide docket and are not releasing the name of the deceased until his next of kin have been informed.
