Police in Motherwell in Gqeberha are investigating a case of murder following the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old man on Monday evening.
Spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says the police are withholding his identity until a formal identification is completed.
She says the deceased and another man were sitting in WM Maku Road, on Monday night when they were approached by two unknown men who fired shots at them.
Swart says the 37-year -old man died on the scene, while his companion managed to run away.
She says the motive for the murder is yet to be established.
