A man who has been on the run since 2019 after allegedly committed fraud in the Eastern Cape, is finally behind bars.
The Hawks says the suspect, was arrested in Somerset West on Thursday by their Serious Crime Investigation Team and is due to appear in court on Friday.
Spokesperson, Colonel Philani Nkwalase, says he was on the police's most-wanted list and has been on the run since May 2019.
He says the suspect, who hails from Dutwya, fled to the Western Cape where he took up employment.
A case was then opened against him in Cape Town and he eventually moved to Somerset West where he was arrested.
