Port Elizabeth police have arrested what they called the most wanted carjacking suspect, following a tip-off from a member of the public.
Spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli says the 25-year-old man was arrested after a high speed car chase between police and a blue leased Volkswagen Polo in Kwanobuhle on Tuesday afternoon.
Nkohli says the suspect was positively linked to 3 carjacking cases and 1 business robbery case.
The man will appear in the Kwanobuhle Magistrate's Court on Thursday on charges of escaping and reckless and negligent driving.
