The Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium has surpassed a milestone of 1000 admissions since the first patient intake as a COVID-19 isolation facility.
The stadium is operated by the Mandela Bay Development Agency.
The MBDA says it’s extremely proud of the work that has been and continues to be done at the stadium.
It says the partnership between the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, MBDA and the Department of Health has been successful as patients have recovered.
The Agency says currently there are 149 patients on-site.
