Mossel Bay teenagers to appear in court for house robbery

Two teenage boys are expected to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court on Monday for house robbery.
Western Cape police spokesperson, Captain Bernadine Steyn says the two, aged 17 and 18, were arrested over the weekend for allegedly breaking into a house on a farm near Herbertsdale.
She says the 82 year old owner of the house, was alone at the time.
Steyn says the two suspects allegedly forced the front door open and, armed with a scissor and knife, allegedly assaulted the victim.
She sustained open wounds to her head and hands.
The teens stole a radio and three cellphones before fleeing the scene on foot.
The elderly woman was taken to a hospital in Mossel Bay where she is a stable condition.
The 17-year-old was arrested on the farm on Saturday and was found in possession of the stolen radio, while the 18-year-old was arrested on Saturday evening in Herbertsdale.
