Mossel Bay teen falls to his death in freak accident

Mossel Bay police do not suspect any foul play in the death of a matric learner from the Sau Bras Secondary School who fell four storeys to his death from the balcony of an apartment block on Sunday.

Eighteen-year-old Waldon de Jager was visiting friends in Bayview Manor when he apparently leaned against the glass panel of the balcony. 

According to witnesses the glass panel broke causing De Jager to fall.

He was later declared dead in the Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital.

An autopsy must still be conducted.
