A Mossel Bay man has been jailed for breaching the conditions of his suspended sentence.
Police spokesperson, Captain Bernadine Steyn, says the five year suspended sentence imposed on 43-year-old Jaco Jansen, last December was activated on Tuesday.
Jansen was convicted of defrauding a Windhoek man of more than R1.3 million paid to him for 74 gold coins and 37 silver bars in a transaction in 2011.
He failed to provide the coins and silvers bars to the complainant and was subsequently arrested and sentenced.
Steyn says Jansen had failed to repay the money as stipulated in the conditions of sentence and he was subsequently jailed.
