A police helicopter was launched to search for two missing people on the St. Blaize Trail in Mossel Bay.
According to police, one of the missing persons is a man who has been identified as a Edwin Losper.
He allegedly lives with his wife in caves in the area.
Police says the body of a woman, presumably Losper's wife, is visible and can be seen lying on rocks at the bottom of the cliff.
Emergency personnel are currently abseiling towards the body.
The circumstances surrounding the woman's death is still a mystery.
In an unrelated case police are searching for a 52-year-old man on the same trail.
The missing man, Dieter van den Berg was last seen hiking on the trail two days ago.
