A Nigerian national is expected to appear in court in Port Elizabeth on Monday in connection with the murder of a worshiper in a South End mosque.
Forty-four-year-old Mohammad Laher, who was wheelchair bound, died after allegedly being assaulted with a cable and stabbed with a pencil inside the mosque last Thursday.
Police spokesperson, captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says the suspect returned to the mosque that evening and was arrested by members of the community in Walmer Boulevard.
