More cases opened against so called "solar swindler" from Mossel Bay

A businessman from Mossel Bay who allegedly took people's deposits for solar panels without doing the work was back in the Mossel Bay Magistrates Court on Thursday.

During the court proceedings, it was revealed by the state that two more cases were opened against 45-year-old Andre Boshoff in the Great Brak area.

Boshoff is currently facing seven charges of fraud amounting to thousands of rand and was granted bail in November last year.

The matter was postponed to the 29th of January for the new charges to be added to the charge sheet.

Police say the complainants allegedly paid between R85 000 and R39 000 for solar panels.
