Two women aged 28 and 36 will make their first appearance in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's court on Friday for allegedly recruiting young girls for Timothy Omotoso, the controversial senior pastor of the Jesus Dominion International Church.
The two suspects were arrested in Redhouse outside Port Elizabeth on Tuesday night by the human trafficking unit of the Hawks in Port Elizabeth.
Captain Anelisa Feni of the Hawks says it is alleged that the suspects recruited girls all over the country and monitored their movements in the houses were they were being kept.
Captain Feni said investigations are continuing and more arrests are expected.
59 year-old Omotoso was arrested by the Hawks at the PE airport on the 20th of April this year, moments after arriving from Durban.
He is being held in custody, despite numerous attempts at securing bail, and faces multiple charges related to the contravention of the Sexual Offences Act.
These include two counts of rape. Some of his alleged victims are as young as 13 years old.
