Ten murder suspects from Silvertown have been denied bail at the Mdantsane Magistrates Court.
East London police spokesperson, Lieutenant Nkosikho Mzuku, says the suspects allegedly beat a man to death in the Silvertown Informal settlement on the 1st of December.
The deceased is alleged to have stolen money from a local shebeen after which the shebeen owner organised the community to be on a look out for the deceased.
They found him and allegedly assaulted him to death.
The suspects aged between 20 and 40 were remanded in custody and will appear again on the 5th of January.
