An East London woman and her two-year-old grandchild had a miraculous escape when an out-of-control truck burst into the bedroom in which they were sleeping on Friday morning.
Police spokesperson, Captain Stephen Marais, says the accident happened on the Amalinda main road when the truck first hit a school bus, in which four children also had a lucky escape, but were injured.
The truck then sweved across the road, burst through a boundary wall, went OVER a swimming pool and came to a standstill inside the main bedroom of a house.
Marais says a 42-year-old woman and her grandchild who were asleep in the room at the time, were not injured.
