Public Enterprises Minister, Malusi Gigaba has urged Mdantsane residents in the Eastern Cape to use electricity wisely.
He was speaking at the 49M national roadshow at the Sisa Dukashe stadium on Saturday.
Gigaba called on individuals and businesses to support the 49million campaign and save electricity.
He urged residents to follow electricity saving tips like using electricity sparingly between 5pm and 9pm.
Earlier on Saturday, Gigaba conducted door-to-door visits, where he exchanged old light bulbs in some households with new energy efficient ones.
