The Walter Sisulu University student who got a surprise windfall of R14-million paid into her bank account is due back in court on Friday for her trial to resume.
The 29-year-old accounting student Sibongile Mani is accused of theft for spending more than R800 000 rand which was erroneously deposited into her student account by Intelli-mali.
The company is contracted by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme to make payments to students.
Students are only entitled to R1 400.
Mani is currently out on bail.
