Two men have been arrested in Mdantsane, East London, after being found in possession of stolen goods worth R100 000.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Nkosikho Mzuku, says the men, aged 26 and 38, are believed to be involved in a syndicate stealing from furniture stores in King William's Town and surrounding areas.
They allegedly used stolen IDs and payslips to buy furniture on account.
Their arrests came after furniture stores in King William's Town opened numerous cases with the police.
Double beds, dressing tables, plasma television sets, refrigerators and music systems were among the items recovered at a house in Mdantsane.
The two are expected to appear in the King William's Town Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
