Port Elizabeth police are investigating several charges following a robbery at an ATM in Kwadwesi in which one person was killed and another shot in the hand.
Warrant Officer, Dumile Gwavu, says one of two men who robbed a woman at the ATM was shot dead by a man who came to her assistance.
He says the 42-year-old man was shot in the hand by the robber's accomplice but still chased after them when they fled with the woman's handbag.
Gwavu says the man was admitted to hospital while the woman robbery victim was treated for shock.
