MEC to visit Bizana after change of municipal leadership

Eastern Cape Local Government & Traditional Affairs MEC, Mlibo Qoboshiyane will visit Bizana Local Municipality on Tuesday, a month after a change of political leadership.

His department says in a statement, the aim of the MEC's visit is to check how far the Municipality has gone in normalizing the situation in the municipality, getting operations and governance in order.

Officials in the Bizana municipality have resigned as directed by the ANC's top leaders.

In April, Qoboshiyane, said they've already replenished both Alfred Nzo and Bizana local municipalities.

The Bizana municipality was placed under provincial administration last year.
