Eastern Cape Safety MEC, Helen Sauls-August, has added her voice to police appeals for members of the public to assist in the fight against gangsterism.
The MEC today strongly condemned the shooting of three people over the weekend as well as the murder of a woman on Monday in a suspected gang-related hit.
The MEC's spokesperson, Lwandile Sicwetsha, says says one suspect was arrested on a charge of attempted murder and appeared in court yesterday, where the case was postponed to the 28th for a bail application.
"The MEC is calling upon all community members and structures in the gang affected areas to come forward and assist the law enforcement. We also condemn the recent incidents in the Northen Area's" he said
