Two suspects have been arrested in Cradock for the possession of 67 bags of abalone valued in the region of one million rand.
Captain Stefanie Smith says Cradock police were on routine patrol today when they spotted a vehicle which failed to stop at a stop street in Cradock.
The vehicle was subsequently pulled over and upon searching it, the police found the stash of abalone.
The two suspects, both aged 30, were arrested. They are believe to have been on their way to Johannesburg.
The men will appear in court soon on a charge of possession of abalone.
