Eastern Cape Police have seized dagga with an estimated street value of R3.7m from two men on the R63 near Bisho.
Police spokesperson Siphokazi Mawisa said the two, aged 56 and 26, were arrested on the R63 near Bisho Stadium on Thursday after failing to stop when police tried to search the car.
Police searched the vehicle and found 27 bags of dagga weighing 307 kilogrammes to the value of R3.7m.
The driver tried to bribe officials by showing them cash and was immediately arrested for bribery and possession of dagga.
The pair are believed to be from Alice. An undisclosed amount of money was also seized.
The men will appear in the Zwelitsha Magistrate's Court on Friday.
