ANC secretary-general, Gwede Mantashe, says he has been looking carefully for signs of in-fighting within the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality the past two days.
He arrived in the province on Thursday to shore up the ANC's voter mobilisation campaign.
Mantashe told Algoa FM News that what he saw, was comrades working together.
"I was looking for it I could not see any in-fighting while I was here for the past two days. I looked very carefully for this in-fighting I could not see, I saw comrades working together, pulling things together, talking to the people together as teams." says Mantashe.
On Friday afternoon, Mantashe conducted door-to-door campaigns in Kayam-nandi, Booysens Park and addressed crowds at the Raymond Mhlaba Sport Centre in Motherwell.
He says the message to Nelson Mandela Bay is very simple, that people should vote ANC in the upcoming election on May 7th.
"The message is very simple, people must vote on May 7th and vote ANC. People must vote for the ANC not because it is a favour or it is doing them a favour, because there is record of delivering basic services to the people in the country, we have changed the country for the better." says Mantashe
