Eastern Cape police have launched a manhunt for suspects who allegedly murdered two women at Peddie.
Provincial spokesperson, Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana says a neighbour, who assisted the victims, aged 49 and 73, with their livestock, allegedly found three unknown men inside their house on Friday, talking to them about buying sheep.
He said when he returned the following morning to open the kraal to take the livestock out to the veld, he found all the doors of the house were still locked.
Kinana said when he tried to call them, their cell phones rang inside.
He said the neighbour then summoned one of the woman's sons, and after kicking in the door they found the deceased with stab wounds to their upper bodies.
Police are appealing to anyone who might be able to assist with any information that could lead to the arrest of the three suspects to contact Brigadier Dudu Ngculu on 082 301 7762 or any nearest police station.
Information can also be shared on SAPS Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
