Eastern Cape police have launched a manhunt for the suspects involved in the rape and murder of an 85-year-old woman “at Nomzamo Garage” in Keiskammahoek.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa, said her body was found in her bedroom on Saturday morning by the domestic worker who had left the deceased the day before.
She said the woman alerted the neighbours who called the police.
“A case of murder, rape, and house robbery has been opened for investigation,” Mawisa said.
She said police are appealing to anyone who can assist with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect or suspects to contact Keiskamahoek SAPS at 040-6580205 or Detective Captain Xolile Rantyi on 082 565 3334.
