Mandela's grandson, Mandla, who was not in court on Friday, Eastern Cape premier Noxolo Kiviet and Eastern Cape Health MEC, Sicelo Gqobana, were named as repondents in the application.
The Herald Online reported today that the application was to have the remains of some of the former president's relatives, which were moved by Mandla from Qunu to Mvezo, to be returned to Qunu.
City Press Online also reported that Qunu village chief, Nkosikazi Balizulu, had confirmed granting permission to exhume the remains of the three relatives for reburial in Qunu.
