The death toll in Wednesday’s accident near George, in which a 5-year-old child was killed has risen to two.
This after one of the passengers died in hospital.
The two were travelling in A white Volkswagen Polo towards George when the driver lost control and overturned on the Herold’s Bay road.
Police Spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies says the passenger who died in hospital was a 20-year-old man.
The driver of the vehicle and another passenger is still being treated at the George Provincial hospital.
Spies says autopsies will still be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
The names of the deceased have not yet been released.
Two cases of culpable homicide are under investigation.
