A man sustained minor injuries on Thursday morning when he was hit on the head with a pistol during a robbery at a creche in Howick West, KwaZulu Natal.
Spokesperson for ER24 Russel Meiring says when they arrived on the scene a local security company was already there.
The man, expected to be in his thirties, was treated for his injuries but declined transportation to a hospital.
Meiring says, fortunately, no children were injured.
According to witnesses, three armed men entered the creche demanding valuables. The victim was then pistol-whipped by one of the suspects.
The full details surrounding the incident are not yet known but local authorities were on scene to conduct their investigation.
