Police in Jeffreys Bay are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a man was killed in a head-on collission on Monday.
Spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the accident happened after 5 a.m. on the N2 between Gqeberha and Jeffreys Bay.
She says the 25-year-old victim was driving in his white Suzuki S-Presso towards Humansdorp when he collided head-on with a VW Caddy travelling in the opposite direction.
Captain Janse van Rensburg says it is alleged that the driver in the Suzuki overtook another vehicle on a solid white line.
The victim succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
The driver of the Caddy and his two minor passengers sustained serious injuries and were transported to a hospital in Gqeberha.
The name of the deceased will be released once the next of kin has been informed.
