Police in Thornhill are investigating a case of culpable homicide following a fatal accident in the early hours of Saturday morning on the N2.
Police Spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says it is alleged that the driver of an Iveco and his passenger were travelling on the N2 in the direction of Knysna when the driver lost control and veered off the road into the bushes.
She says the driver, who is in his thirties died on the scene and his passenger was taken for medical treatment.
