Man killed as bakkie overturns on N2 outside Gqeberha

One person was killed when a bakkie overturned on the N2 outside Gqeberha on Sunday.

Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said the driver of a Toyota Hilux bakkie lost control of the vehicle which then overturned.

She said the man's wife and three other passengers on the back of the vehicle, which had a canopy, were seriously injured and taken to hospital.

Janse Van Rensburg said the name of the deceased will be released later.
