Man jumps to his death off the Bloukrans River Bridge

Eastern Cape police have confirmed that the body of a 34-year-old man who jumped to his death off the Bloukrans River Bridge early on Tuesday morning, has been recovered. 

Police spokesperson Sergeant Majola Nkohli says the man was driving a Volkswagen Amarok which was parked on the bridge. 

He says its alleged that the man had stopped at the bridge at around six this morning when witnesses saw him jump to his death.

The name of the man is known to police and will only be released once his next of kin have been informed.
