A Port Elizabeth man has made his first appearance in court for allegedly beating his young son to death after accusing him of stealing Five Rand.
Thirty-six year old Andile Nxele faces a charge of murder for the incident that happened over the weekend in New Brighton.
He'll make a formal bail application on Friday.
The PE Magistrate's court was packed on Thursday with community members from New Brighton who came to support the family of the 12 -year old deceased - Anele Vena.
