Police in Gqeberha have opened up an inquest docket after the body of a man was found on the roof of a house in Villiers Road in Walmer.
Police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says the house was an unoccupied building currently under construction for a new building.
He says it is suspected that the man was electrocuted while he was busy removing electric cables that were spanning from the rooftop to a pole on the pavement.
Police will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
